Perishables

Fresh doesn’t get a second attempt

Spoil a perishable load and there’s nothing to recover, only the cost of everything spent getting it there. National moves fresh cargo by road, sea and air, and holds its condition on every leg from pickup to final delivery.

Our Capabilities

A fresh load is only as strong as its weakest stage

Keeping perishables sellable takes coordinated capability from pickup to delivery. National Air Cargo runs each stage to the standard fresh cargo demands.

Multimodal cold chain

Refrigerated road, ocean reefer and temperature-controlled air, sequenced into one plan so product holds its range through every transfer, its temperature verifiable at each handling point.

Cold storage and handling

Chilled, frozen and controlled-ambient storage from 2°C to 8°C down to −20°C and below, holding cargo in range through transfers, layovers and the moments a shipment has to sit.

Cooling and protective packaging

Dry ice, gel packs and active containers matched to the shipment, with packaging validated and coolant replenishment planned for the full route. Dry ice handled under dangerous goods rules.

High-volume and seasonal capacity

Recurring lane programs and dedicated capacity for commercial volume, with air charter through National Airlines when a harvest peak or demand surge outpaces scheduled space.

Time-critical movements

Next-flight-out and expedited routing for the load whose shelf life can’t survive a slower mode, built to protect the clock and the temperature at once.

Door-to-door coordination

Pickup from farms and fisheries, export and import clearance, Importer and Exporter of Record, and final delivery into distribution and retail. One coordinator owns the route, so no leg becomes the gap a load is lost in.

Fresh cargo is one of many demands National Air Cargo is built for. The full range of our logistics and charter capabilities stands behind every perishable shipment.

CERTIFICATIONS & COMPLIANCE

The standards fresh cargo can’t move without

Perishable cargo meets food-safety and trade rules at every border. A shipment that fails one can be refused outright. National carries the standards that keep it clear.
